Terms and Conditions


“Customer or Client” means any person who purchases a service from Blueprint Energy Assessing.

“Services or Documentation” means:

  • Undertaking a 6 Star energy assessment in accordance with The Nationwide House Energy Rating Scheme (NatHERS)
  • Undertaking a Deemed to Satisfy report (DTS) under the BCA requirements in the NCC 2015 Part 3.12.
  • Undertaking a Verification method V – verification against a reference building.
  • Undertaking a Comparison method with the DTS provisions.

“Terms and Conditions” means the terms and conditions of supply set out in this document and any special terms and conditions agreed in writing by Blueprint Energy Assessing.


General Information 

The Terms and Conditions defined on this page shall apply to all contracts for Blueprint Energy Assessing to the Customer.

The Terms and Conditions defined on this page shall prevail over any other documentation or communication from the Customer.

Any variation to these Terms and Conditions shall be inapplicable unless agreed in writing by Blueprint Energy Assessing.


Price and Payment

Payment of deposit or in full indicates acceptance of these Terms and Conditions as per the “Payment Terms” stated in the quotation.

Payment can be made by Electronic Funds Transfer.

Invoices will be issued to the Customer along with a summary report outlining the result of the report.

Blueprint Energy Assessing will only issue the NatHERS Universal Certificate, DTS report, Verification method report or Comparison method report once full payment has been received or an agreement has been arranged between the Customer in writing.

Payment must be deposited in to a bank account as shown on the invoice.

If the payment details have been changed on the invoice and the supplier has not received a phone call from Blueprint Energy Assessing confirming the change, the invoice is not to be payed and the Customer is to notify Blueprint Energy Assessing immediately.

Blueprint Energy Assessing will release the documentation within 24 hours after the funds have cleared the nominated bank account.

Failure to make full payment by the due date as outlined in our “Payment Terms” may result in Blueprint Energy Assessing holding the documentation until payment is received.

If payment is not received in two working weeks an invoice will be issued to cover the time spent undertaking the assessment(s)

Failure to make full payment by the due date as outlined in our “Payment Terms” may result in Blueprint Energy Assessing enlisting the services of a debt collection agency to collect the outstanding payment. In such case the Customer will also be charged the cost of the debt collection services.

Any additional work and/or variations not included in the quotation including reassessments, remodelling, consultancy and site visits undertaken by Blueprint Energy Assessing will result in a standard variation rate of $85.00 + GST per hour.

Should the duration of the assessment be extended for any reason whatsoever by the Customer, a reasonable extension of time will be granted to the Blueprint Energy Assessing to complete the assessment.


Customer’s Obligations

To enable Blueprint Energy Assessing to perform its services the Customer shall:

Co-operate and provide any information reasonably required to deliver the Services along with complying with such other requirements as agreed between the parties.

Supply the following information on the Working Drawings or Final Working Drawings

  • Site Plan showing adjacent buildings and fence heights
  • North Point (+ bearing)
  • Detailed floor plans for each level (specifying floor coverings)
  • Elevations
  • Sections
  • Electrical plans (for downlight and exhaust penetrations)
  • Window and Door Schedule which shows the glazing and frame preferences.
  • Construction material specifications

Comply with all legal and statutory requirements – particularly in regards to data protection and confidentiality.

Quotations, Fee Proposals and Contracts for any project between the customer and Blueprint Energy Assessing are not be disclosed to other Energy Assessors or third parties.



Blueprint Energy Assessing shall not be liable under any circumstances to the Customer or any third party for any indirect or consequential loss of profit or other economic loss suffered by the Customer howsoever caused, as a result of any negligence, breach of contract, misrepresentation or otherwise.

Blueprint Energy Assessing provides general compliance advice to the energy requirements only and does not accept liability for any damage or loss due to any misunderstanding of any reports.



Refund policy: Where a Customer cancels their assessment after receiving a summary report or other documentation showing the result of an assessment been undertake there is no refund available.

Where a Customer cancels an assessment that is partially compete an amount will be agreed upon to cover the time spent undertaking the work.

Both parties must return or destroy information received from the other if asked to do so.


Unforeseeable Circumstances

Neither party shall be liable for any delay or failure to perform any of its obligations if the delay or failure results from events or circumstances outside its reasonable control, including but not limited to War, Fire, power outage or extreme weather events.  In such event or circumstance the party shall be entitled to a reasonable extension of its obligations.



The contents of the Blueprint Energy Assessing website may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, republished, displayed, posted or transmitted in any form or by any means without the prior express written permission of Blueprint Energy Assessing.

Customers may not at any time, without prior written permission from Blueprint Energy Assessing, make copies, reproductions, share or distribute the following documents

  • Deemed to Satisfy report (DTS)
  • Verification method V reports.
  • Comparison method with the DTS provisions reports.
  • Summery Energy report.
